Summary of 2018-2019 Student Progress

REPORT ON STUDENT PROGRESS 2018-2019

 KEY STAGE 3

  • KS3 student progress is measured against the Corley Centre Threshold Assessment Model, introduced in September 2016 to replace the previous Progress Model, which was based on National Curriculum levels
  • The Threshold Assessment Model is based on mainstream expectations from the end of KS2 to the end of KS4
  • Following the Government removal of National Curriculum levels, all students, on entry to Corley Centre, are baselined against the Corley Centre Threshold Assessment Model
  • Students are deemed to be making expected progress when they make progress in line with their baseline threshold
  • Progress is measured half-termly on 5 levels:
    • Making significantly more than expected progress
    • Making more than expected progress
    • Making expected progress
    • Making small steps progress
    • Making no progress
  • For a small number of students, who follow our nurture curriculum, small steps progress is deemed to be expected progress
  • Progress is shared with parents/carers at the end of each term
